TIPS FOR UST FRESHIES

1. YOU ARE A COLLEGE STUDENT NOW. Keep that in your head. Act like one.
2. Espanya- North (where the arch is facing);Dapitan- South(Ab bldg); Pnoval- East (Beato bldg; Lacson- West (Big Guys Pizza)
3. The usual: registration form, uniform, index cards & pictures of all sizes, pen, paper.
4. Gate 1&2 guards(espanya side)-the strictest, but dont worry.
5. Wag kayong matakot sa guard HAHA, papapasukin pa rin kayo niyan sa campus in case you forgot your reg form
6. Always bring your umbrella.
7. Try finding your blockmates or your block's group chat. Make friends already so you won't be alone during the first day.
8. WARNING: CULTURE SHOCK. You'll meet guys and girls na kavibes mo or di mo kavibes, LGBTs, liberals, conservatives, atheists, theists, nerds, the rich&famous, students from all girls/boys school, etc. JUST BE OPEN-MINDED. MATUTONG MAKISAMA
9. Speak the language you're comfortable with. English, Filipino, Taglish,or whatever. What's important is that the person whom you're talking understands you, and you also understand yourself hehe.
10. Freshmen will be UNDERESTIMATED.Ganyan talaga haha. Just prove them wrong.
11. Upperclassmen are nice, well most of them.
12. Join the UST Bookmarket or your course's or society's bookmarket.Paunahan diyan pero kung wala na talaga, paxerox ka na lang, or kung wala na talagang choice, bili ka na lang bago then sell it if you don't need the book anymore. Or hiram ka na lang!
13. First day of class = orientation or no profs. Just relax.
14. If you want and if you can, watch uaap games live.
15. PASKUHAN- masaya depende sa kasama mo haha joke. 
16. Yung mga kasama mo nung first day or week pwedeng hindi sila yung magiging "college squad" mo.
17. If you decide to take ROTC in your first year then you will be free from NSTP classes during your second and third years. But if you don't want to take ROTC, then you have to take NSTP classes in your second and third year.
18. Build connections.
19. Theology,CWG,English- dont take them for granted even if they are "UNOable" 
20. Join orgs and be active. Sayang naman yung reg fee kung di rin kayo magpaparticipate. May University wide orgs, Orgs sa college niyo, at meron ring orgs sa course niyo. 
21. Ate Yema- she's very nice.
22. Library- matao sa social science and humanities. tahimik sa civil law and religion.
23. PE- you're lucky if you have PhiGames as your PE. It's Philippine FUN Games. Folkdance and Social Dance are hassle and pa-major.
24. Profs- Batas. Just follow them and you'll be fine.
25. Class Officers- if you want to be one, then pabibo na sa gc or first day pa lang haha.
26. Yosi Lane-nonsmokers, kayo na lang mag adjust. well that's life
27. Yosi,Alcohol, Drugs, Sex,Party, Bars- do what's right
28. Food trip? Goodluck na lang haha. Sa pagkadamidaming kainan sa uste, di mo na alam kung anong uunahin mong kainan.

• Carpark- famous fast food chains, cyndi's grill(good food) 
• Espanya- food court sa the one, jollibee, sb, amo yamie, nitz, shakeys, dominos, bonchon, pancakehouse
• Pnoval- SUPER DAMI kayo na magexplore
• Dapitan- quick snack: cheese sticks, botsie cake, corn, kariman, isaw,"tusok-tusok", MANGO TOP(try this- Austurias Street), fries, shawarma, burrito(in V concepcion St.); may goldilocks sa dapitan guys, SUPER DAMI DING KAINAN DITO, kayo na mag-explore :)) CHIQUITOS- recommended; SUPER HABA NG DAPITAN GUYS, di lang siya yung tapat ng ust, dapitan din yung across lacson-the street where you'll find bench fix salon, amsterdam cafe and many more
• Lacson- mcdo, big guys, then yung dessert buffet,and may katabi pang kainan to (sorry i forgot the name), yellow cab,pizza hut, ilar's.

29. You can't please everybody and you don't have to please everybody.

30. Be yourself.

31. Enjoy your college life. FREEDOM WOHOOO. Freedom has limits tho ;)

32. Annddddddd, don't be too overwhelmed. Don't be pressured.
